Habits From The Past

When I was 2 years old, I used to crawl. It was so fun for me!! I could go anywhere I wanted, without trying too much. But, this should stop. So, I had to get used to standing up and walking-slowly in the beginning. I remember me trying and trying so hard, but all the time, my parents wanted me to try more and more.. That was maybe the most difficult thing I could ever do!! Fortunately, all this preasure helped me a lot. Now I am used to walking and running without any difficulties. It seems to me so easy, but all young children find it impossible!!

MY PAST AND PRESENT HABITS

When I was 6 years old I used to study my homework. Then I had to get used to studying my homework because my parents coudn't help me as they were working. Now I am used to doing my homework to have good marks.

Thinks I used to do.

When I was young , I used to have a lot more free time than now. I remember that when I was 3 years old , I used to spend more time with my parents. We were doing things together like playing boardgames. But now that I grew up I have a lot of homework and extra-curricullar activities and I can't spend that much time with my parents. But I get used to it.

Also when I was young I used to meet my friends only at school. Now that I've grown up I am used to meeting them at other places , like cinemas , fields e.t.c. or we meet online by using skype.

One thing which I will never get used to , is the fact that I will never be able to have so much money that I could buy everything I'd like to. This is something that annoys me a lot. Because I want to try so many things , but I don't have the money to buy the required equipment. For example I  like playing the flute , playing the piano , riding my bike, flying RC (airmodelling) e.t.c. I like everything but the equipment for these things costs really much , so I need to wait for my parents to make money , to buy the required equipment to try other things.

    What about you?

MY PAST-PRESENT HABITS

When I was still a baby ,9-10 months old, I used to cry so much that my parents couldn't sleep at night. Then I had to get used to being more calm and patient, because my little sister was born! Now I am used to being easy-going and gentle with my sister, that's why we rarely fight.

My past habits

When I was five years old, I didn't use to eat all my food. Then I had to get used to eating it all. I got used to eating because my mum wouldn't give me sweets. Now, I'm used to eating my food because if I don't, she will not let me go anywhere with my friends.

Eating habits.

Arabia:

At Arabia if you don't retch after a meal, means that you didn't like it.

India:

At India you don't need to taste all the foods but you need to clean your plate. Also you can't left the table if the older person hasn't finished.

Foods and national dishes…

Japan:

Japanese noodles often substitute for a rice-based meal. Soba and udon are the main traditional noodles, while ramen is a modern import and now very popular.
Hot noodles are usually served in a bowl already steeped in their broth and are called kakesoba or kakeudon.

Greece:

Fasolada is made by simmering beans with tomatoes and other vegetables such as carrots, onion, parsley, celery, and bay leaf. Lima beans are sometimes used instead of white beans. Recipes vary considerably.

United kingdom:

Fish and chips is a hot dish of Englbish origin, consisting of battered fish, commonly Atlantbic cod or haddock, and deep fried chips. It is a common take away food. A common side dish is mushy peas

Italy:

Pizza is an oven-baked flat bread typically topped with tomato sause and cheese. Baked variously in coal, wood, gas, and electric ovens, it is generally supplemented with a selection of meats, vegetables, and condiments.

  • In France it’s considered rude to cut the lettuce in salad!!
  •
  • In Mexico it’s actually ok to be late. Always being late for at least 30 mins won't annoy anyone, since the hostess has more time to prepare the dinner!!
  • In Bulgaria you shouldn't bring yellow flowers to the hostess. They symbolize it hatred!!
  • In England, bananas should be eaten with a knife and fork, a custom that dates back to the 19th century when this fruit was viewed as an exotic treat.
  • In Austria you have to make eye contract with the person you clinc glasses with!!
  • In Tanzania, drinking beer from the bottle is very rude-it should be poured into a glass!!
  • In Italy, when it comes to pasta only, you don’t have to wait for everyone else to start eating; however, you must wait for everyone to be served before digging in on all other dishes!!
  • In Portugal, bringing wine to the hostess is considered an insult!!
  • In Russia and China, if you leave some food in your plate, it means that it was enough to enjoy it and not being too much. But, if you do the same in India or Philippines it shows to the others that you're rude and wasteful!!
  • In Japan, when eating ramen, you’re expected to slurp enthusiastically. Be careful though, as it’s easy for the ramen to end up all over yourself if you overdo it!!
